Dwayne "The Rock " Johnson celebrates Thanksgiving by commemorating the tough times when he was younger.

Johnson is one of the highest-paid actors today. In fact, he starred in popular films like "Fast and Furious" "Moana," "Baywatch" and more. However, looking back, life was tough for the "Central Intelligence" actor that they could not even afford to celebrate a Thanksgiving dinner. This makes The Rock more grateful for what he has today.

Johnson shared a snap of him with his family celebrating Thanksgiving on Instagram. In the caption, the actor shared an emotional testimony about his family's financial struggles.

"After we bowed our heads in prayer, we went around the table and everyone shared what they were thankful for," Johnson wrote. "Beautiful seeing and listening to everyone speak from their heart. Tears, laughter and boundless gratitude."

Johnson joked that he was surprised no one mentioned they were thankful to be in his presence as the sexiest man alive, while adding that he refused to relinquish the title. However, he became serious when he shared how his mom recalled their life earlier that day.

"As my mom pointed out earlier in the day, there was a time back in '87 when we couldn't even afford Thanksgiving dinner and was praying someone would invite us over their house to eat," the "Skyscraper" star continued. "We were in a tough spot back then, but we got thru it. And here we are today. One big, extended, blended, slightly crazy, loving, grateful ohana. #sib."

Johnson's received warm support from his followers who see him as their inspiration. "Rock. You're the biggest inspiration going," one fan commented.

"Love that family comes first I've had plenty of problems divorce my kids come first you are an inspiration to me times are tough tough people keep going Happy Thanksgiving to your whole family thanks God bless you all," another user named dougralph77 wrote.

Entertainment Tonight noted that Johnson was only 15 in 1987. After 10 years, he made a name in WWE and eventually joined the A-list actors in Hollywood.

In 2016, Johnson was the highest-paid actor. This year, he is on the second spot next to Mark Wahlberg with $65 million. He earned $50 million more than last year in his performance in "Baywatch" and "Jumanji."
