The NBA announced it was fining Miami Heat guard Eddie House $25,000 Monday, after making what was deemed an obscene gesture during Sunday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

With 22 seconds left in the 4th quarter, the Heat trailed by one before Eddie House hit a three-pointer. House then ran down the court making the gesture with his hands and groin.

The celebration is remeniscent of one that former player and current Washington Wizards assistant coach Sam Cassell would perform throughout his career in similar moments. According to the Sun-Sentinel, House performed a similar gesture after making two free throws Friday in a game against the Detroit Pistons but was did not receive a fine for that instance of celebrating.

Whether this is an example of player behavior being judged differently for occuring on national TV or not, Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra isn't taking any chances, The league came down on that, so we're taking it, he said. It won't happen again.
