Eid al-Adha marks the end of the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca — an occasion when Muslims across the globe remember the noble sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim. This year the festival, which is also known as the “Feast of Sacrifice,” will be celebrated from Sept. 1 to Sept. 2.

Following are a few greetings and pious poems, taken from the Times Of India, Eid Mubarak Imagesz and the Metro, to share with your loved ones on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, as people unite to offer their prayers to Allah:

1. On Eid al-Adha, wishing that your sacrifices are appreciated and your prayers are answered by the Almighty. Have a blessed Eid Al-Adha!

2. May the divine blessings of Allah bring you hope, faith, and joy on Eid al-Adha and forever. Happy Eid al-Adha 2017!

3. Allah Hu Akbar, Allah Hu Akbar, Allah Hu Akbar...

Is your recipe your prayers on Eid al-Adha,

May Allah bless you all and your wishes come true...

Eid al-Adha Mubarak 2017!

4. On the Holy occasion of Eid al-Adha that celebrates the Hajj... May you be filled with happiness and may every step of your journey through life be blessed by Allah. Eid Mubarak!

5. Eid al-Adha Mubarak: It is not their meat nor their blood, that reaches Allah: It is your piety that reaches him: he has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for his guidance to you and proclaim the good news to all who do right.

6. Like the color of silver in the night sky, the new moon rises, the holy month has passed, the fasting is over, tomorrow is the great feast of Eid al-Adha. Eid Mubarak!

7. May the magic of this Eid bring lots of happiness in your life and may you celebrate it with all your close friends and may it fill your heart with wonders. Eid Mubarak!

8. He is the One God; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, most wise.

9. Whoever desires to meet his Lord, he should do good deeds and not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord.

10. In every shared smile and laughter; In every silent prayer answered; In every opportunity that comes your way – may Allah bless you immensely! Eid Mubarak!

11. The moon has been sighted

The samosas are ready

Here comes Eid so just go steady

Lots of duas is all I request

And just wanted to wish you all the Best!!! Eid Mubarak

12. I put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord! There is not a moving creature, but He has a grasp of its forelock. Verily, my Lord is on the straight path [the truth].

13. May God send his love like sunshine in his warm and gentle ways to fill every corner of your heart and fill your Life with a lot of happiness like this Eid day. Wishing you Eid Mubarak!

14. On this holy and joyous occasion, may the blessings of almighty Allah come down and rest upon your shoulders and upon those whom you love and treasure and may you enjoy a very happy Eid this year and in the years to come.

15. I hope you enjoy each and every moment of Eid. May God accept our fasts and prayers.
