Chaz Bono's right ankle and knee injuries sure did affect his, and partner Lacey Schwimmer's, score on Dancing With the Stars, with the pair ending up with the lowest total of 17 points from the judges Monday.

Last week too, the pair ended with the same score when then judges agreed that their quick step was not all that quick after all, reported PEOPLE.

On Tuesday, though Bono did end up in the last three contestants with Elisabetta Canalis and David Arquette, he was the first of the trio to be declared safe.

Elisabetta Canalis got eliminated from the show, while Arquette has been given another week's respite.

It was a great adventure so I want to thank everybody, Canalis, Italian TV presenter and the former girlfriend of George Clooney said.

The viewers clearly pushed Chaz and Lacey through when the judges found fault with the quickstep.

There is a likeability about you, Chaz, Bruno Tonioli said on Monday.

It was like watching a little Ewok dance with Princess Leia. It's cute and it's lovely, the problem is the quickstep has to be fast, the report said.

Hats off to Bono for the courage to go forward with the painful knees.

I'm feeling better today, Bono told co-host Brooke Burke Charvet before the results were announced.
