British actress Elizabeth Hurley has been cast in NBC's Wonder Woman.

In the much-buzzed about remake of Wonder Woman Hurley has been cast as the superhero's nemesis. Actress Adrianne Palicki has been cast as Wonder Woman.

Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot Wonder Woman, Hurley posted on her Twitter feed. I'll be playing the evil villain. Can't wait.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the deal is not definite yet as Hurley is waiting on her visa. The role is considered a guest starring gig.

In the series, Hurley's character will run a pharmaceutical company that is creating a drug that makes people stronger. Her plan is to build an army that will destroy Wonder Woman, whom she's extremely jealous of.

Wonder Woman will be made by David E. Kelley, who also created Boston Legal. According to Entertainment Weekly, the script is a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character and pays homage to the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter.
