Could Cookie Lyon be getting a new love interest on “Empire?” The hit Fox show, currently in its second season, has managed to snag a number of high-profile guest stars, and Taraji P. Henson knows exactly who she wants to see step into the Lyons den.

Speaking to E! News on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday, Henson told host Ryan Seacrest he would be perfect as a guest star on “Empire.”

“We need you on the show,” she said. “Love interest, maybe?”

As previously reported, Henson’s character Cookie currently has eyes set on concert promoter Laz Delgado (Adam Rodriguez), but who knows what may happen in future episodes between them.

Henson has received a tremendous amount of buzz for her “Empire” role, and got a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama. If she wins, she’ll beat out other stars like Viola Davis for “How To Get Away With Murder,” Robin Wright for “House of Cards,” Caitriona Balfe for “Outlander” and Eva Green for “Penny Dreadful.”
