Everything’s Cute ‘But Her Phone’; College Humor Parodies ‘Butterphone Girls’ [VIDEO]

In a time when new high-tech smartphones release every few months, it can be a surprise when some people are not adept to the trends. But they are out there, people whose phones lack Internet access, high-resolution cameras, and even the ability to play the latest games. It's likely that everyone knows at least one person with a phone that is several generations old.

Recently, College Humor compared being technologically challenged to the old time adage “butterface.” The term butterface largely describes a woman who is attractive everywhere “but her face” (surely men can be butterfaces as well). There is no telling how long the term butterface as been around; however, College Humor has now modernized the saying in comparison of people who own phones of a certain age. A “butterphone” girl is attractive everywhere, but her phone is a mess. Notably the video is captioned, “She's a 10 but her phone's a 1.0.”

In the College Humor skit a proud iPhone owner struggles with whether he wants to date the butterphone girl he has recently met. Lets see if things end well for our high-tech paramour.

Keep in mind; owning the latest smartphone technology does have its benefits. Another parody shows that iPhone’s Siri is quite the matchmaker.
