Rivals Manchester City and Manchester United battle it out in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley Stadium in London, in a scoreless half.

For the first third of the half, the two teams appeared to be feeling each other out, and didn't take aggressive efforts to get shots on goal.

But then Dimitar Berbatov squandered two excellent chances to score in the 15th minute.

First, he was fed a great ball by Ji-Sung Park inside the box that snuck by the City defenders. But Berbatov's shot from roughly five meters out went straight to goalkeeper Joe Hart who was able to hit the ball away.

The very next play had winger Nani deliver a perfectly placed low cross that a sliding Berbatov booted over the crossbar.

Though Berbatov has struggled in the last few months, these chances were great opportunities that probably are still on his mind and certainly haven't helped his confidence.

Gareth Barry had a chance in the 32nd minute, but his turn inside the box resulted in a left-footed shot that hit the side netting.

Mario Balotelli ripped a right-footed shot from distance that Edwin van der Sar had to punch away to save in the 34th minute.

Off a corner kick, Vincent Kompany was able to strike a great right-footed ball that was just inches wide of the post, but van der Sar's outstretched arm would have saved it.

Wayne Rooney is in attendance, and reacted with frustration when Berbatov's shot went astray.

In a bit of a surprise move, Javier Hernandez is on the bench. There is a good chance he will come on in the second half.
