Wednesday, April 5 marks the 17th anniversary from the day the lead singer and guitarist of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain took his own life by shooting himself in 1994.

The voice and face of a generation took his own life after years of struggling with depression and drugs. He killed himself in his Seattle home and his body was found three days after his death.

Since his death, and to this day, there have been a number of conspiracy theories linking his widow Courtney Love to his death. Cobain and Love were married in 1992. They have a child together, Francis Bean Cobain.

A number of fans have taken to Twitter to remember the late rock star. Some fans even attacked other celebrities in Cobain's memory.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's Nevermind which was one of their most famous and popular albums.
