Although they have been teasing new music for months, Fifth Harmony finally announced the release date to their brand new single without Camila Cabello.

Since leaving the group in December, both Cabello and Fifth Harmony have been hard at work in the studio. While the “Bad Things” singer has already released her first solo song, on Tuesday the music group revealed that fans will finally hear new music this week

“Guys we’re giving you new music so sooooon I can’t wait for y’all to hear this damn album # 5H3,” she tweeted.

Prior to Fifth Harmony’s big announcement, Cabello was busy gushing over her upcoming performance for “Britain’s Got Talent.”

On Tuesday, Cabello shared a selfie of herself revealing she will be singing her first single while on the show. “#BGT here I cooooome !!!! gonna b singing #cryingintheclub woooop,” the 20-year-old wrote.

The singer also released a video of herself in rehearsal practicing her dance moves for her upcoming performance.

Fifth Harmony’s release date for “Down” on Friday comes two weeks after Cabello released “Crying in the Club” and teased her second single, “I Have Questions.”

Although Cabello left the music group more than five months ago, the songstress still reflects on her decision go solo. During an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, Cabello revealed the moment she knew she was done singing in the music group.

“I think that happened to me as I was discovering my voice as an artist. Especially as a songwriter. I felt like I needed to express that. And it was just time to sing my story and sing words that were coming from my heart as opposed to words that people were writing for us,” she explained.

Despite her complaints about not being able to have creative say in her music with Fifth Harmony, during an interview with People, Hernandez revealed that for the upcoming album the ladies had the chance to write songs.

“It’s incredibly exciting. We are working on our third album, and it is the best experience we’ve ever had creating a record. So much of our heart and soul is being poured into it. We are being given the opportunity to write and be part of the process more than ever,” the “Work From Home” singer revealed.

Hernandez also teased the type of sound fans can expect to hear when new music is finally released. “It’s a blend of these delicate and honest pop melodies mixed with fun, rhythmic, sexy, urban sounds, as well soulful, raw emotion. There’s so much to look forward to in our music,” the singer said.

Although a specific time for the release of “Down” has not been revealed just yet, Fifth Harmony is scheduled to appear on “Good Morning America” on Friday where fans may be treated to a live version of the group’s new song.
