Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users are facing a peculiar issue in which the quick toggles for mobile data, Wi-Fi hotspot and private mode are disappearing automatically. Samsung is yet to release a fix for it, but some users at XDA Developers have already found a temporary one.

According to Phone Arena, the South Korean tech giant is already aware of the issue and is working on rolling out an update. However, it is not known when the update will be released.

Meanwhile, there is an unofficial way to prevent quick toggles from disappearing. There are APK files such as fixdatatoggle.apk, wifihotspotfix.apk and privatetogglefix.apk available on different threads on the XDA Developers forum that can be downloaded and installed to fix the disappearing toggles issue. These apps have been released by Nimeni Altu, a senior user of the forum.

After launching each of the three apps, users are required to tap on “add MultiWIndow toggle.” By doing this missing toggles can enabled again. When a fix is released by Samsung, these apps may not be of any use, and can be uninstalled easily.

The Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge are the recently released Samsung flagships. Both the Galaxy S6 models come with 5.1-inch Quad HD screen that supports a display resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Both the displays support a pixel count of 577 ppi. The Galaxy S6 sports a regular display but the Galaxy S6 Edge is blessed with dual-edge curved screen.

Unlike other flagship smartphones from other brands like Sony and HTC, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge are not powered by the Snapdragon 810 chipset. Instead, Samsung has used a home-baked Exynos 7420 chipset that houses a 64-bit octa-core processor and Mali-T760 graphics. The chipset on the both the devices are supported by 3 GB of RAM.

Both handsets do not feature external storage. They are available in internal storage options of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. The Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge features 16 MP rear cameras and front-facing cameras of 5 MP. The Galaxy S6 has a battery of 2,550 mAh whereas the Galaxy S6 Edge is equipped with a larger battery of 2,600 mAh.
