“Finding Carter” is about to premiere its second season, and as expected, episode one will not be drama-free. The installment, titled “Love the Way You Lie," will pick up right where the Season 1 finale left off — Carter’s second kidnapping.

1. Carter Will Go On The Run

In Season 1, Carter (Kathryn Prescott) went back and forth about her feeling for her kidnapper and former mom Lori (Milena Govich). In the finale, she finally decided to call her birth mother Elizabeth (Cynthia Watros) “mom,” but her decision may have come a little too late. Amidst Elizabeth's attempt to get Lori into custody, Lori drugged and kidnapped Carter and took her to an undisclosed location. While Carter appears to act civil with Lori in the Season 2 premiere sneak peek, she will go on the run when her kidnapper reveals her evil plan. Her escape, however, will not result in a victory.

In the Season 2 trailer, Lori can be seen catching up with Carter during her attempted escape up a hilly terrain. When Lori grabs her, she tells her he won’t let her go until she learns “the truth.” Fortunately for Carter, the final scene in the trailer shows Lori sporting prison garb. Let’s hope for her sake, she is finally put away.

2. Taylor Will Be In Trouble

No one is safe when “Finding Carter” returns. Not only will Carter be in Lori's custody, it appears Carter’s twin sister Taylor (Anna Jacoby-Heron) may be joining her. And it’s not only a looming kidnapping that Taylor needs to be worried about. Taylor, who is seen chugging alcohol and sobbing in the trailer, will suffer from some serious setbacks this season, showrunner Emily Whitesell recently revealed to EW.

“Taylor’s confused, upset, and you’ll see her starting to act out on this behavior, not understanding what’s happening to her,” Whitesell said. While Carter is “equipped” to handle life’s tough situations, the showrunner said Taylor is not. “I thought it’d be a great juxtaposition dramatically to see how tough Carter is — she’s got a real tough skin, and Taylor simply does not.”

3. Max Is On The Mend

After getting a little too close to Carter for Crash’s (Caleb Ruminer) comfort in Season 1, Crash “accidentally” shot Max (Alex Saxon) at his place of work. While Max survived the gunshot wound by a hair, he faced several consequences due to his injury. Not only did the incident result in unusual bouts of anger for the normally demure character, it also led to his break up with Taylor. While Max said his family would be unable to afford the therapy necessary for his recovery, a Season 2 sneak peek shows Max's health is on the mend.

4. Crash Will Return

Carter played a hand in getting her boyfriend Crash arrested following Max’s injuries in Season 1, but it appears viewers have not seen the last of him yet. In the Season 2 trailer, Carter can be seen kissing Crash. In another sequence Crash approaches Max, possibly to issue him an apology, but is turned away.

5. Max And Taylor Will Reunite

Max and Taylor decided to split in the Season 1 finale, breaking hearts of “Finding Carter” viewers everywhere. Fortunately for fans of the fictional couple, they will not be separated for long. In a sneak preview of the Season 2 premiere, it is revealed that Max and Taylor will rekindle their romance.

“I made a big mistake breaking us up,” Max tells Taylor during her visit to his hospital room. “I was going through a lot… but I don’t want to be apart. We had a really great thing going and I think we should have it again now.”

In another scene from the trailer for Season 2, Max and Taylor can be seen kissing as Carter looks on smiling.

“Finding Carter” Season 2 premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. EDT on MTV. Watch the trailer for the new season below:
