Is Malese Jow coming back in Season 3 of “The Flash”?

Jow has played Linda Park and Doctor Light in the past two season of the show, and since Linda is actually Wally West’s pre-Flashpoint wife in Dan Abnett’s ongoing comic book series, “Titans,” Comicbook.com recently asked executive producer Todd Helbing whether there are plans to bring Jow’s Linda back into the TV series as Wally’s new (Keiynan Lonsdale) love interest.

“I don’t know,” Helbing said. “[But] I would say yes, because on ‘The Flash,’ we certainly love Malese. She’s fantastic. We don’t have any plans right now, but she’s fantastic and Doctor Light's awesome so I wouldn’t be surprised if she shows up.”

Linda and her Earth-2 metahuman doppelgänger Doctor Light was last seen in Season 2, episode 6, entitled “Enter Zoom,” in which Linda briefly masqueraded as Doctor Light to help Team Flash catch Zoom (Teddy Sears). After their plan didn’t work, Linda relocated to Coast City to protect herself from Zoom and Doctor Light, who managed to escape from S.T.A.R. Labs.

Although Linda no longer resides in Central City, Jow said in an interview with ScreenTV.com last November that there are more stories to tell about her two characters.

“I feel like there is a lot of potential with Linda and Doctor Light, so we’ll see where the writers take the storyline,” the 25-year-old actor said when asked if fans are going to see more of her on the show in the future.

Even though there's always a possibility for Linda to show up in Central City, it’s unlikely that she will be romantically paired up with Wally. As viewers know, sparks have already been flying between him and Jesse (Violett Beane) since Season 2, and Beane suggested in an Entertainment Weekly that the flirtation between them will continue in the current season.

“The two of them are super cute together,” the 20-year-old actress said of the pair. “It makes so much sense. I loved working with Keiynan last season. You’ll see a little bit of that carry over. … They were both hit by dark matter, so it’ll be interesting talking about that and seeing everything that has to do with that.”
