Euron Greyjoy is returning to “Game of Thrones” in Season 7 and it looks like he’s going to do so in a major way. Paparazzi and fans watching nearby have been able to catch glimpses of what’s to come in Season 7, revealing major plot points, spoilers about returning characters and more.

Photos snapped in Spain on Sunday and obtained by TMZ show Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) — who was last seen traveling with sister Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whalen), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and a large army toward Westeros — engaged in a violent confrontation with his uncle Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk) on the beach. The pictures suggest that Theon will take a beating, but recover enough to stand his ground and possibly even emerge victorious.

Euron appears to have brought a group of soldiers along, though it does not seem they will be any help to him in his fight with his nephew. The final photos in the set show Theon being pulled away from Euron’s body, which is lying on the ground surrounded by “Game of Thrones” crew members. It is unclear whether he is meant to be dead or will survive the confrontation and remain a hopeful contender for the Iron Throne.

Euron isn’t the only one Theon will have to battle in Season 7 of the HBO series. Earlier fan photos, published by Celebuzz, show a tense meeting between he and Jon Snow (Kit Harington). The reigning King of the North was seen grabbing at Theon’s chest, pulling him in close for what appears to be a serious discussion. This will be the first time Jon and brother Robb Stark’s (Richard Madden) former friend have seen one another since his Season 2 betrayal. In addition to having essentially gotten his brother killed, Theon played a role in furthering the torture Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) suffered at the hands of Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) by warning him of her plans to attempt an escape. While Jon has no shortage of reasons to hate Theon, it seems he will play an integral part in Daenerys’ Season 7 storyline, meaning he and Jon may have to put their differences aside.

It is unclear at this time why Euron is in what Spanish-language “Game of Thrones” spoiler group Los Siete Reinos believes will be Dragonstone, but it is likely that it’s related to his desire to win over Daenerys for the sake of a title. Doing so will be no easy task, which is why some fans speculate he will turn to Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). A September report from Watchers on the Wall suggests that a portion of Season 7 will center around an attack from Euron on his niece and nephew during their journey to Westeros with the Mother of Dragons.

The site speculated that Euron may capture one of the two Greyjoy children and it seems, based on her absence in recent set photos, that Yara may be the unlucky victim. Watchers on the Wall also speculated that after having no luck wooing Daenerys he will team up with Cersei, who took the Iron Throne for herself in the Season 6 finale.

Fans will just have to wait until summer 2017 to find out. What rumored “Game of Thrones” storyline are you most looking forward to?
