“Game of Thrones”
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is Westeros bound, which is just one of many exciting things coming in Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.” HBO

Thronies have a long wait ahead of them for Season 7 of “Game of Thrones,” but they have been treated to a number of spoilers that should help soothe the pain.

Eager fans have been camped outside of sets, snapping photos and snatching up each and every potential lead about what may go down when the HBO original series returns in 2017. Earlier this week it was even reported that an entire plot outline for the upcoming season leaked, teasing unexpected romances, fiery attacks on White Walkers and more. There has been no confirmation from showrunners D.B. Weiss, David Benioff nor any members of the cast in regards to the rumors. Still, it seems safe to say that fans should expect to see Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) meet. A number of much beloved characters are also slated to return to the series after quite some time away.

Here are nine things we can’t wait to see in Season 7 of “Game of Thrones”:

A Stark Family Reunion:

Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) spent much of Season 6 traveling toward Winterfell, where he hoped he would find members of his family. He encountered his share of issues along the way, but with Meera (Ellie Kendrick) and his uncle Benjen (Joseph Mawle) helping him, he was able to make it just about there when the season came to a close.

Arya (Maisie Williams) was also headed for home, but not before she checked a few names of her kill list. After taking out Walder Frey (Argus Filch), she’s closer than ever before to the place she and her siblings once called home, though she has no idea her illegitimate brother Jon and sister Sansa (Sophie Turner) have reclaimed it for their own.

Photos published by “Game of Thrones” spoiler group Watchers on the Wall on Oct. 11 show Wright and Williams on set in Northern Ireland together. This has sparked speculation that the pair — if not all the Stark children — will be reunited in Season 7. There are a number of theories about how that may happen, though nothing has been confirmed.

More Lyanna Mormont:

Lyanna Mormont (Bella Ramsey) stole the hearts of “Game of Thrones” fans in Season 6 with her small stature, quick wit and fierce ruling. The fact that she’s been spotted on the set with Arya and Bran is indicative of more appearances from her in future episodes of the show, which is worth getting excited about.

Jon And Daenerys To Learn About The R + L = J Theory:

In Season 6, Bran — now acting as the three-eyed raven — traveled back to the Tower of Joy, where he learned the truth about Jon’s parents. His mother is Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi), Ned Stark’s sister. His father is Rhaegar Targaryen, who has yet to make an appearance on the show.

With him nearing Winterfell, many “Game of Thrones” fans are hopeful that he’ll tell Jon the truth about his lineage before the acting King of the North makes his way to Dragonstone to meet Daenerys. As Rhaegar’s true son, Jon is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, at least in some people’s eyes. It is unclear whether this fact will complicate he and Daenerys’ relationship, but it will certainly make for good TV.

Rhaegar’s Potential Appearance:

An Instagram post from singer Devin Oliver in September lead some Thronies to believe he may have been cast as the mysterious son of the Mad King. The photo was snagged by Reddit user E-Nezzer, who listed the many reasons Oliver’s casting would make sense. The thread sighted not only the musician’s appearance, but the fact that in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels it is written that Rhaegar sings a song to Lyanna that helps him win over her heart.

Daenerys And Jon’s Meeting:

Since the earliest days on “Game of Thrones” fans have been eager for Daenerys and Jon, arguably the two most popular characters on the series, to come together. That desire was made even greater after the Season 6 revelation that the two are related. Now, Thronies are waiting on baited breath to find out whether Jon and Daenerys will be friends or foes.

Gendry’s Return:

In Season 3 of “Game of Thrones,” Gendry (Joe Dempsie) was sent away in a paddle boat to escape the red woman (Carice van Houten). Weiss and Benioff insisted, in an July interview with a UFC Podcast, that he was still very much alive and paddling his boat. Fan photos published by Celebuzz on Wednesday suggest that while some fans theorized Gendry would resurface in Oldtown, he’s going to pop back up in Dragonstone with Jon and Daenerys.

It is unclear what this means for his character. We are hopeful that he will, in time, be reunited with Arya. The old friends haven’t seen one another in years.

Jorah Mormont And Daenerys’ Reunion:

Celebuzz also reported that Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) was seen filming scenes with Jon, Gendry, Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) and Daenerys. In Season 5 Jorah was sent away by his Khaleesi to find a cure for Greyscale. She made him promise that he wouldn’t return until his condition had been managed. While it’s quite possible that Weiss and Benioff are bringing him back just to have him turn into stone and die, we’re hopeful that he’s on the mend and will rejoin Daenerys on her quest for the Iron Throne.

Theon And Jon’s Confrontation:

Photos from the set suggest that Jon and Theon will face each other for the first time since Theon betrayed the Starks in Season 2. The grainy fan shots show the two meeting at the shoreline, where Jon can be seen grabbing Theon by the shirt and pulling him in for an intense conversation.

Euron Greyjoy And Cersei Lannister Teaming Up:

Yara (Gemma Whelan) and Theon Greyjoy’s vengeful uncle will reappear in Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” and, unlike previous seasons, he’s expected to have a serious impact on what goes on this time around. According to a report from Watchers on the Wall, Yara and Theon will first encounter Euron (Pilou Asbæk) during their journey toward Westeros with Daenerys. The blog claimed that much of early “Game of Thrones” filming centered around an at-sea battle between the Greyjoys, during which Euron will potentially capture one of them.

Additionally, it is widely believed that Euron will team up with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), who took the Iron Throne for herself in Season 6. Watchers on the Wall suggests that forming an alliance with the reigning queen is a logical move for Euron, who will likely struggle to win over Daenerys’ heart as he has been planning to do for quite some time.
