Port Charles is still reeling from the loss of officer Nathan West. While Sam and Drew try to wrap their heads around the fact the policeman was killed in their offices, they will be presented with a new opportunity that can make or break their company.

However, on the Wednesday, Feb. 7 episode of “General Hospital,” Drew seems determined to keep Aurora out of the spotlight, no matter who it affects.

In the previous episode of the ABC soap, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) learned Ned (Wally Kurth) published a video online dedicated to exposing all of the bad choices she has made in her life, and suggested she wouldn’t be able to properly make decisions for Port Charles.

Although Alexis feels like she has found a way to one up her competition, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Drew (Billy Miller) will crush her dreams. In the promo for the upcoming episode, Drew is seen telling Alexis that an endorsement from Aurora Media could tank her entire campaign.

Alexis believed that an endorsement from Aurora would help her in her run for mayor but the company has been at the center of the fatal events that have recently taken place in the small town.

Not only did Faison (Anders Hove) manage to gain access to the Crimson offic,e but he held Maxie (Kirsten Storms) hostage, and fired his gun at Nathan (Ryan Paevey), which eventually lead to his death.

Although Faison was also shot and later died from his gunshot wound, Aurora was the origin of all of the violent events.

It’s become clear that Ned is out to win the race at any cost and it isn’t likely that he would spare Aurora from bad publicity should they endorse Alexis in the election.

Sam and Drew have been desperately trying to cut Aurora’s association from crime and violence but between Drew and Jason’s (Steve Burton) switch, Faison’s return and Nathan’s murder, the company continues to be linked to negative events.

The couple has done their best to spin the deaths to their advantage. Though Sam would like to help her mother, will she agree with Drew’s decision not to support Alexis for the sake of their company?

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EST on ABC.
