Actor and comedian George Lopez had a few unkind words to say to a woman in his audience after she negatively reacted to a joke during his show Saturday night at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix. The incident happened when Lopez joked about Latinos marrying black people.

"There are only two rules in the Latino family - don't marry somebody black and don't park in front of our house," Lopez said during the live show. The woman, who was sitting in the front row, reacted by showing the Mexican comedian the middle finger. Lopez immediately responded by telling her to “sit your fucking ass down.”

“I'm talking bitch. You paid to see a show, sit your ass down. You can't take a joke you're in the wrong motherfucking place. Sit your ass down or get the fuck out of here,” he said.

Lopez didn’t stop there: he continued his tirade for about a minute, repeatedly telling the woman to be quiet or leave the venue and eventually had her escorted out of the show while a large portion of the crowd cheered in the background.

“I’ll give you two choices: shut the fuck up or get the fuck out. I tell you what, I'll make the choice for you. Get the fuck out of here. I’ll make the choice for you, bye. You can’t take a joke you’re in the wrong motherfucking place. Bye. Four seats just opened up front,” he said to the cheering crowd.

The comedian also appeared to address the situation on Twitter Tuesday morning:

Lopez, who hails from California, is a well-known comedian who established his career by making jokes about his Mexican-American heritage and childhood. He was raised by his grandmother after his mother abandoned him as a little child, which he eventually used as material for his comedy skits.
