Anyone who needs a Father’s Day gift may have found the perfect promotional offer from T-Mobile. There are many discount offers right now, but T-Mobile is offering the LG G Pad F 8.0 tablet free of charge in the U.S., with one caveat: The carrier will offer the LG G Pad F 8.0 tablet free, only to those customers willing to sign up for a 24-month contract.

After signing up for the 24-month contract, the customers will reportedly be shelling out $10 every month over two years for their LG G Pad F 8.0. Along with the $10 per month plan, T-Mobile customers will also receive 1GB of free data. However, if a user wants more flexibility with data usage, paying for the costlier data package is the only possible way, notes Phone Arena.

If a user cancels the subscription at some point, he or she will have to pay the remaining contract amount of $239.76 before termination. Since the slate’s original price is quite cheap, readers can also purchase the device outright by paying the full amount to save the hassle of paying every month.

The tablet comes with an 8.0-inch display, aided by 800 x 1,280 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the slate is powered by a quad-core processor, clocked at 1.2GHz. On the software end, the device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, straight out of the box.

When it comes to memory configuration, the LG G Pad F 8.0 tablet comes equipped with 16GB of built-in storage capacity. Plus, the slate sports a 5MP rear-facing camera unit, in addition to a 2MP front-facing shooter for selfies.

Speaking of Android tablets, the other worthy alternative to LG G Pad is Samsung's well-received Galaxy Tab S 8.4 with Wi-Fi connectivity. Phone Arena says this slate can now be purchased at a discounted price of $259 via Newegg. Potential buyers can head to the T-Mobile website to purchase the LG slate.
