A Florida woman is facing domestic violence and simple battery after being arrested for allegedly squirting her partner with a water gun “to antagonize and agitate him against his wishes” late last month, according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department.

Giovanna Borge, 19, of Port St. Lucie, became agitated when her boyfriend “said something to her she did not like” and responded by squirting him with the water pistol and also dumping water on him, according to the arrest affidavit from Port St. Lucie police obtained Friday by TCPalm.com, which didn't report the boyfriend's name.

Borge, who works as a Wal-Mart stocker, claimed her boyfriend, whose name was redacted in the report, hit her with a pillow. There was then “mutual shoving with [Borge] ending up in a tub in the bathroom.”

Her boyfriend told cops he was not injured in the water pistol incident. Authorities also spoke to three witnesses who said they did not observe the altercation but heard the couple fighting.

“They all agreed that unprovoked, Giovanna started screaming at” her boyfriend, the affidavit states. “They then heard scuffling and banging noises. They all heard [the boyfriend] yelling ‘get off of me, get off of me,’ which led them to believe Giovanna was aggressing on [they boyfriend].”

Police determined that Borge was “the primary aggressor” in the Sept. 27 incident. Borge was taken to the St. Lucie County Jail “without incident.”
