Coupons Inc. hired one of the mastermind engineers behind Google's Android phone, Steve Horowitz as its Chief Technology Officer .

Horowitz helped develop the operating system and software for Android.

I am eager to help further advance its [Coupons Inc.] development and deployment of new platforms and services for digital promotions, Horowitz said in a statement Tuesday according to CNET.com.

The company offers coupons online in Coupons.com and has reportedly offered $300 million dollars in coupons in 2008, the company said.
