Cory Michael Smith plays Ed Nygma in “Gotham” Season 3. Fox

It’s extremely difficult waiting for one’s favorite show to return to the small screen, but this is exactly what fans have to endure when “Gotham” Season 3 went on a winter break earlier this year.

So just how long will fans have to wait for the show to return? Carmen Bicondova, the actress who plays Selina Kyle on the Fox show, provided an answer on Twitter.

Bicondova’s character is terribly upset with Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) after he paid her mother off behind her back in order to spare her feelings. Does this mean the two have broken up? Or will Selina find it in her heart to forgive Bruce?

Meanwhile, Ed Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) will play a huge arc in “Gotham” this time around. In a new promo for the next episode, Nygma decided to embrace his other, more sinister persona after breaking ties with his former boss and friend, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor). “All my life, I felt there was someone inside of me. It’s now time to be him,” he says in the video. His trademark green question mark will also make appearances throughout the city, much to the disdain of the cops.

Fans will also be introduced to a new character when the show returns. According to Deadline, “Game of Thrones” alum Alexander Siddig will be playing Ra’s Al Ghul. He will be introduced when young Bruce tries to unravel the mysteries being kept by the Court of Owls. The character has already made appearances in other series such as “Arrow” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” and he is a fan favorite villain first introduced in the Batman canon back in 1971.

“Gotham” Season 3, episode 15, titled “How the Riddler Got His Name,” will return on April 24.
