Grammys 2012 Red Carpet: Worst-Dressed Stars of the Night Brought on the Bizarre

No other awards show brings the bizarreness quite like the Grammys. Though the 2012 Grammys red carpet had a plethora of glittering starlets dressed in stunningly chic ensembles, there was a fair share of wacky wardrobe choices as well.

Nicki Minaj and singer Sasha Gradiva tied for the worst outfit of the night. Minaj hit the red carpet in a red silk Little Red Riding Hood-inspired ensemble made by Versace. From the enormous hood to the strange face embroidered on the skirt to her matching gloves, this outfit was nothing short of campy. If that was not enough, Minaj's date was dressed up as the Pope.

Singer Sasha Gradiva was another tragic example of red carpet attire gone wrong. The Russian-born singer, who is an emerging artist on the dance-pop scene, opted for weapons along with her pink prom gown dress. The gaudy accessory was an eyesore.

Other artists who missed the mark included Fergie and Rebecca Black. Fergie, who does get credit for her Haute Couture taste, opted for a completely see-through neon orange lace ensemble by Jean Paul Gaultier. Though the piece might have looked amazing on the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week runway, it did not translate on the red carpet. Her black granny panties also raised eyebrows.

Rebecca Black might have had the most viewed YouTube video of 2011, but she surely will not win the best dressed award for the 2012 Grammys. The 14-year-old singer's black tiered dress might be sweet for a high school dance, but on the red carpet she should have opted for something a bit flashier.
