Google+ invitations to expand
The Google+ invitation button has been available for more than a day now, suggesting Google is loosening up and is more confident about expanding its social network's population. Google+

The criticisms and praises from Google+ users are being heard and those users should look out for some changes this week, according to Vic Gundotra, Google's senior vice president of engineering.

Gundotra wrote on his Google+ page that there are Lots of criticism for Google+. We are listening and working to address. Stay tuned for changes this week.

Prior to issuing this message Gundotra apologized to Google+ users for a spam message on July 9.

For about 80 minutes we ran out of disk space on the service that keeps track of notifications. Hence our system continued to try sending notifications. Over, and over again. Yikes, Gundotra wrote.

He later added: We didn't expect to hit these high thresholds so quickly, but we should have. Thank you for helping us during this field trial, and once again, we are very sorry for the spam.

Gundotra didn't really say what those changes will be, but Ezra Gottheil, an analyst with Technology Business Research, told Computerwold that he expects that Google will be tackling issues pertaining to Google+ invites, and also the receiving of many notifications on things such as being added to a circle or referred to someone else.

Regardless of the speculations about the upcoming changes, the Google+ team knows where its problems lie. You can see an overview of the issues the team are aware about here. Some of those issues have to do with its circles, streams, chats and hangouts, and Google+1 to name a few.

But users don't seem too hung up on the problems Google+ is currently facing.
