Sources close to the matter have said that US oil field services company, Halliburton Co is considering making a counter-bid for Expro international, reports Reuters.

On Thursday Expro said it had approved a £1.605 billion bid from Candover and Goldman Sachs. The company also said that another party had been given access to its books and was conducting due diligence.
