KEY POINTS

  • Harry Hamlin attended the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend
  • He was reportedly overheard talking about Lisa Rinna's "RHOBH" exit to some fellow attendees
  • The actor allegedly claimed that Rinna's feud with Sutton Stracke led to his wife's departure

Harry Hamlin allegedly blames Sutton Stracke for his wife Lisa Rinna's departure from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," a report has claimed.

The 71-year-old Hollywood actor attended the Sundance Film Festival Saturday, and he was overheard discussing his wife's exit from the franchise with a group of people by an unnamed Page Six spy.

The eyewitness claimed that Hamlin told fellow attendees during the Creative Coalition and Entertainment Weekly's Spotlight Initiative Awards Gala Dinner that Rinna, 59, might not have decided to leave "RHOBH" if not for Stracke and the latter's allegations against his wife. International Business Times could not independently verify this information.

"[She] might still be on the show had the fight not happened," the eyewitness allegedly heard Hamlin say. "Lisa had all the receipts from that night, but they never showed the receipts on the reunion."

Hamlin was referring to the tickets to Elton John's 2019 AIDS Foundation Academy Award Party that caused a rift between Rinna and Stracke, 51.

Stracke previously claimed in a 2021 episode of "Watch What Happens Live" that she was the one who secured the invites for Rinna and Hamlin to the event. However, Rinna insisted that she and Hamlin got their own tickets to the party, Entertainment Tonight Canada reported.

"She might still be on the show had Sutton not said that. She might still be on the show, but the audience believed Sutton," Hamlin allegedly said Saturday, as per Page Six.

During his conversation with other attendees at the film festival, Hamlin allegedly claimed that IMDb provided him and Rinna with tickets to the event and not Stracke, according to the outlet.

The outlet reached out to reps for Rinna, Bravo and IMDb for comment but did not receive an immediate response. Stracke's reps declined to comment when contacted by Page Six.

Daily Mail pointed out that Rinna fired back at Stracke's allegations in a now-deleted Instagram Story. She insisted that she and her husband did not come to the event as Stracke's guests and instead just sat at her table because the latter asked them to.

Before Rinna announced her departure from the Bravo series earlier this month, Hamlin told People that his wife often found herself in hot water on the show because of her straightforward and honest attitude.

"She does her job. Her job is to show up on time, interact with the people on the show in an honest and authentic way. Her hot button issue, I suppose, is injustice or when somebody else is not behaving honestly, she'll call it out. And that gets into a lot of trouble. But it also helps the show," the "Clash of the Titans" actor told the outlet last month.

Rinna's exit announcement also previously sparked speculations that she may have left due to her feud with Kathy Hilton, as seen in the 12th season of the reality series.

During last year's "RHOBH" reunion, Hilton came after the "Days of Our Lives" alum and called her the "biggest bully in Hollywood."

Rinna never addressed the rumors, and she did not disclose the reason for her exit. Instead, she thanked her supporters and Bravo because she had a "fun eight-year run" on the show.

Hamlin was also allegedly overheard saying over the weekend that his wife was happy with her decision to leave the franchise after eight seasons, according to Page Six.

"All good things come to an end. She took it as far as she could take it. Now I'm working like crazy so she doesn't have to work," the outlet's eyewitness quoted him as saying.
