  • Sharon Stone responded with clapping hands emojis to the news of Lisa Rinna's exit
  • The Hollywood actress clarified her ambiguous reaction in an Instagram Story
  • Stone said she's glad because she would get to see more of her friend

Sharon Stone set the record straight on her seemingly shady and quite ambiguous response to the news that Lisa Rinna was leaving the "Real Housewives" franchise.

After the news dropped that the 59-year-old reality star was exiting "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," the 64-year-old Hollywood star reacted to a post by the Bravo fan account Queens of Bravo that read, "Lisa Rinna is out!!!"

Stone did not write any message but instead expressed her feelings by leaving six clapping hands emojis in the comments section. It was not clear what she meant by her response since the emojis could be interpreted in many ways, according to Deadline.

Then came the weekend, and Stone made a guest appearance on "Saturday Night Live" while Sam Smith performed the recently released single "Gloria." The Oscar-nominated star lounged on a gold couch during the number as Smith beautifully crooned the track, Billboard reported.

On the same day that she appeared on "SNL," Stone grabbed the opportunity to address the issue by clarifying her reaction to Rinna's departure in an Instagram Story.

"Just to be clear: I [love] Lisa Rinna, she is my friend, and the only Housewife I know and LOVE, and the only reason I'm clapping is I can see more of her," she wrote in her post, which was also recognized by the Queens of Bravo page.

Rinna dropped a bombshell earlier this month when she announced that she was exiting "RHOBH" after eight seasons.

"This is the longest job I have held in my 35-year career, and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series. It has been a fun eight-year run, and I am excited for what is to come!" the "Days of Our Lives" alum said in a statement following the news.

"RHOBH" will film its 13th season in the coming weeks. But Rinna's contract with the franchise expired last season.

Her decision to leave the show came after her controversial feud with Kathy Hilton in the 12th season.

Speaking on what it was about the series that she didn't like, Rinna recently told Interview magazine that the reaction to the show once it started airing took a toll on her.

"I love filming. Filming's fun. What is not so fun is the airing of the show. Once [the season] goes out into the universe, that I don't love, because it takes on a life of its own. When filming, you have your drama, but it's contained in a sense. And once it goes out, you get opinions and all the stuff that goes on, that's the part I don't like," she explained.
