Hip hop artist Heavy D‘s unexpected and tragic death at the age of 44 on Tuesday afternoon, in Los Angeles, has shocked his family, friends and fans, and his last words on Twitter have taken on an eerie feel.

Heavy D, who had 168,333 followers, was a popular personality on Twitter. His last message “BE INSPIRED!” was posted on Tuesday before he died, which showed his positive outlook and tweeting style.

After the boxing legend Joe Frazier's death on Tuesday night in Philadelphia from liver cancer, Heavy tweeted, “SMOKIN JOE FRAZIER..RIP.. truly one of the best heavyweight champs that ever lived.. GODS SPEED, MR FRAZIER!”

The rapper, after sending out a message acknowledging the passing of Frazier, stated, “Be inspired.”

Heavy joined other celebrities on Twitter to offer condolences to the boxing legend, causing some confusion among his fans as to whether the news of his sudden death was valid or not.

Heavy D, one of the most influential rappers of the 1990s, died on Tuesday afternoon.

An associate of Heavy D’s told TMZ at around 5:12 p.m. that the rapper had pneumonia.

But the L.A. Coroner's Office is investigating the death and, as of now, there are no signs of foul play.
