Over the weekend, Heidi Klum was finally able to host her annual Haunted Holiday party in New York, which was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.

Klum is one celebrity you can bet on to sport an eye-popping costume for Halloween.

For more than a decade, the supermodel has thrown an annual extravagant Halloween party that brings out many famous faces, and she definitely grabbed attention anew with her latest design.

At her 13th Halloween celebration, Klum dressed as Cleopatra, and costume designer Martin Izquierdo designed her look, as he has done for years. But it was not an easy task this time.

In a video that Klum posted on her official website with a behind-the-scenes look at the process, she tells Izquierdo that she wants the final product to be “Big. Bold. Glittery.” That is exactly what the supermodel got.

In pictures she posted, Klum dons a large golden headpiece that is intricately detailed, along with large gold neckplate, a golden feathered robe, and a low-cut, form-fitting gold dress.

“As you'll see in the video, the making of my costume is quite an elaborate process,” Klum writes.

“It takes months of planning and a team of expert designers to put it all together. Costume designer Martin Izquierdo has been creating my costumes for me for years. He’s amazing!”

Klum told People magazine, “It took maybe three hours to put my face on and like 10 minutes to get dressed.” In addition to her outfit, Klum also had hundreds of Swarovski crystals on her face.

“The guy that designed the face made little pieces and put them on, and in between he had to fill in the gaps, so it took a very long time,” the supermodel went on to say.

In previous years, some of Klum’s most memorable costumes include Lady Godiva, the Hindu goddess Kali, and a dead body.

This was the first Halloween party since 2005 that Klum will host without Seal, whom she divorced this year after seven years of marriage.

Since their split, she has been dating her bodyguard, Martin Kristen. According to the Huffington Post, Klum told talk show host Katie Couric last month, "I’ve known him for four years, and he’s been with our family for the last four years.

"He’s cared for our entire family, mostly for our four children, helped us tremendously ... I trust him with my children’s life. He’s a great man, you know, and we just got to know each other from a completely different side."
