Carrie (Claire Danes, left) and Quinn (Rupert Friend) work together in a scene from "Homeland" Season 5, episode 4. Showtime/Stephan Rabold

Sunday’s installment of “Homeland” Season 5 ended with Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) at assassin and former lover Peter Quinn’s (Rupert Friend) mercy. Quinn sedated the former CIA agent and his suspected target in episode 3. Will he kill her in episode 4, “Why Is This Night Different?”

The promo video for episode 4 kicks off with Carrie tied to a bed as Quinn looks on. He informs her that her name has been put on a kill list. Carrie begs for her life after he tells her she “must have crossed a line somewhere.” While Quinn is shown lying on the ground and shooting a gun at the end of the episode preview, it doesn’t appear he will hurt her.

An episode 4 sneak-peek video shows more into Carrie’s kidnapping adventure. She awakes to find herself in a strange room. At first, Carrie is pleased to see Quinn, but when he doesn’t respond to her request to untie her, she becomes hostile. Quinn tells her about the kill list, and she tells him she’s aware she’s in danger. “I know, I can’t figure it out,” she says.

“Well, you must have done something,” Quinn responds. “Pissed off somebody. Crossed a line somewhere.”

When Carrie begs for her life, Quinn bends down and places his hands on her face, a far different reaction than the way he treated his previous targets. “Stop moving Carrie,” he says.

While the synopsis for the upcoming episode doesn’t give more clues into Carrie’s fate, only revealing that “answers elude” her, the episodic photos do. In several images Carrie, in some instances sporting a dark wig, can be seen working side-by-side with Quinn.

Elsewhere in episode 4, Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) and Allison Carr (Miranda Otto) will be busy running an operation, according to Showtime’s synopsis. The promo video, posted below, also reveals that hacktivist Numan (Atheer Adel) will discover his friend sold the remaining documents he hacked from the CIA’s database meant for During Foundation American journalist Laura Sutton (Sarah Sokolovic).
