ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder” returned Thursday with an episode peppered with ample twists. Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) was denied bail. Her lawyer Bonnie (Liza Weil) tried her best to get her out of prison. Elsewhere, Frank (Charlie Weber) confessed to killing Wes (Alfred Enoch) though his motivations for doing so remained unclear.

What will happen next week on the show?

The executive producer of “How To Get Away With Murder,” Pete Nowalk, told Entertainment Weekly that Season 3, episode 11 will pick up right where episode 10 left off with Wes getting in a car with Frank in a flashback. “The next episode will reveal a lot more, and we’ll see more of that flashback. We’ll see exactly where Wes and Frank went after they got in the car. We’re going to pick up immediately with that, and we’re going to see what they have to talk about, because the two of them have a lot to talk about.”

However, was Frank’s confession real or did he do it to save Annalise? It seems unlikely that he killed Wes. Only a few episodes ago Frank was willing to kill himself for Annalise’s forgiveness.

According to the synopsis of the upcoming episode, Davis’ tough-as-nails character will reach her breaking point. She will struggle with prison life. However, Frank’s confession might change everything.

The promo shows Annalise breaking down in front of someone.

Additionally, the Keating 4 will ask Connor’s on-again-off-again lover Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) to hack into the District Attorney’s Office. But once he does it, they will discover that the D.A.’s investigation into Annalise is much bigger than they imagined. It seems like they are all involved in her case.

Oliver is keeping copies of Annalise’s phone log even though she asked him to wipe it clean. What will he do with it? “Oliver is basically keeping his options open,” Nowalk said.

The upcoming episode will see the return of President Hargrove (Lauren Luna Velez).

“How To Get Away With Murder” Season 3, episode 11 airs Thursday, Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
