When “How To Get Away With Murder” returns Thursday, Jan. 26 at 10 p.m. on ABC, Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) will be rocking a burgundy jumpsuit in jail.

The tough-as-nails alcoholic lawyer will be behind bars for allegedly murdering Rebecca (Katie Findlay). The police and the District Attorney’s office were investigating her before Rebecca’s body was found in the woods. They tried to rope in Wes (Alfred Enoch) to be their star witness, but the poor student died in a fire that engulfed Annalise’s house.

Season 3, episode 10, titled “We’re Bad People,” will see Annalise living in jail and it isn’t going to be pretty. Praising prison drama “Orange Is The New Black,” the executive producer of “How To Get Away With Murder,” Pete Nowalk, told Entertainment Weekly that when Annalise was arrested in episode 2, they had to put her in prison later on in the show. Also, the attorney won’t be living in solitary.

“When we see her, we’ll see that she’s in a jail cell with at least two other inmates because of overcrowding, which is super real right now,” Nowalk told the publication, “She’s going to have to deal with these women, like sharing a toilet in the open. It’s not good.”

Given that Annalise has most certainly put some people in prison, will we see her battling a few former clients? “We’re not going to see her cross with any of her clients, but we’ll see that her reputation proceeds her,” Nowalk revealed.

The synopsis of the “How To Get Away With Murder” Season 3 mid-season premiere states that the D.A.’s office will try to build a case against Annalise while the police investigate the events that led to the night of the house fire. Meanwhile, the Keating 4 will try to cope with the fact that one their own is dead.
