It’s not Rupert Grint’s mistake: The “Harry Potter” alum really does look like the Grammy award-winning singer Ed Sheeran.

In an appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Cordon,” the dashing ginger-haired star admitted to a lot of people mistaking him for the “Shape Of You” singer. “How often do people come up and say, ‘Hey Ed love the new single and what do you do?” Cordon asked him. “Yeah, it’s kind of 50/50 now,” Grint answered, “If anyone stops me, it could go either way: I could be Ed or I could be me.”

In fact, famous singer Leo Sayer came up to the 28-year-old actor and told him that he loves his music. “I play along,” Grint revealed.

Grint has several upcoming TV shows lined up in 2017. He will be seen in a series named “Snatch” which is set to premiere on March 16 on Crackle, Sony’s free streaming service. He stars alongside “Gossip Girl” alum Ed Westwick in the dramedy about a group of 20-somethings stumbling upon a truck of gold. It is based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 film of the same name. Grint plays Charlie and Westwick plays a naughty hustler.

The Ron Weasley portrayer also starred in a show called “Urban Myths” and will soon be seen in another series titled “Sick Note.”

However, Grint isn’t the only one who gets mistaken for another famous star. Many people think Patrick Stewart is Ben Kingsley. However, Kingsley also gets stopped for being mistaken as Stewart. “No, Ben got stopped I think not too long ago and [someone] said, ‘Oh God! Star Trek I loved Star Trek you were fantastic!’” Stewart revealed that Kingsley went on to correct this fan and received a hilarious response. You can watch the video above.
