Not long ago, photos of HTC One X9 cropped up showing a stunning device. Now, a new teaser shared via Weibo claims that the handset will be introduced on Thursday.

HTC released the One A9 with a perfect combination of impressive design and mid-to-high-end configurations, bundled with an affordable price tag. And it apparently helped the company to an extent with respect to sales. Having found the promising success formula, HTC is apparently gearing up to introduce the One X9.

Surprisingly, the HTC One X9 price has also been revealed ahead of the launch. Android Headlines citing the source IT168 said that the device will set the buyers back somewhere in the ballpark of 12,000 and 15,000 Taiwan dollars. This roughly translates to -- $366 to $457 -- which is a perfect mid-range price tag. However, readers should note that the aforesaid price ambit pertains to Taiwan and when the handset reaches the U.S. shores, the price could be different. This is with the assumption that, HTC will indeed introduce the device outside its home country.

On the other hand, TENAA recently revealed key HTC One X9 specifications, along with official renders. Going by the listing, the handset will carry a 5.5-inch display, packed with a Full HD screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.

Under the hood, the One X9 will reportedly come powered by an octa-core processor, running at 2.2 GHz and backed by 2 GB of RAM. When it comes to memory configuration, the device will come equipped with 16 GB of native storage space and microSD card slot for further expansion.

A solid 13-megapixel rear-facing camera unit and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper have also been tipped. On the software front, the HTC One X9 will reportedly run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. However, in comparison, the HTC One A9 came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS straight out of the box, much like the Nexus handsets. But then, according to Android Headlines, HTC might upgrade it to Android 6.0 by the time the company starts shipping internationally.

As always, readers are advised to take the reported X9-related information with the proverbial pinch of salt as HTC has not confirmed any details so far.
