In May, Huawei had announced the high-end Honor V8 smartphone. Speculations are rife that the Chinese manufacturer will be soon announcing Huawei Honor 8, a scaled down edition of the Honor V8.

According to Gizmo China, the Huawei Honor 8 will be featuring a 5.2-inch display that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Honor V8 has a larger screen of 5.7-inches that supports Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

The Huawei Honor 8 will be fueled by Kirin 955 chipset. The Honor V8 features Kirin 950 chipset under its hood. The SoC will be supported by 4 GB of RAM. It will also come with other features like fingerprint reader, infrared port and USB Type-C. The Honor 8 will be packed with a 3,200 mAh battery that will carry support for quick charging.

The Honor 8 is expected to sport a very beautiful appeal as it is rumored to arrive with a dual glass design enclosed in a metallic chassis. The smartphone is speculated to arrive with very thin bezels.

The Huawei Honor 8 is speculated to arrive in four different versions. The 32 GB model that will carry 4 GB of RAM will be priced at 1,999 yuan ($302) and it will not feature NFC. There will be another 32 GB model with 4 GB of RAM that will carry support for all networks. It is expected to be priced at 2,199 yuan ($332).

The 64 GB model with 4 GB of RAM would be costing 2499 yuan ($377). Lastly, the highest configuration variant that will feature 2K display, 128 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM will be priced at 2799 yuan ($423).

Huawei is speculated to announce the Huawei Honor 8 on July 5. The company is expected to reveal launch date details on June 25.
