  • iOS 13.4.5 coming out with minor bug fixes
  • iOS 13.4.5 will come with a fix for Personal Hotspot
  • iOS 13.4.5 will also come with new features for Apple Music

Another minor fix will be coming out soon for Apple device owners after the company seeded its first public betas for iOS and iPadOS 13.4.5. This comes not long after the second betas made their way to developers, builds that reportedly carrying minor updates.

The focus of the latest patches is to address bugs and some improvements for iPhone and iPad owners. iOS 13 has not been spared from bugs such as the Personal Hotspot issue. As mentioned in a previous post, Apple is fully aware of the said problem and issued a memo to service centers to expect complaints about it late last month.

Aside from the Personal Hotspot, there is also the VPN-related vulnerability that some are experiencing. According to Apple, these are two of the issues that iOS 13.4.5 will be resolving, Mac Rumors reported. But of course, there are also some minor goodies to expect.

One of them is reportedly a new Apple Music feature. iOS 13.4.5 will reportedly allow users to share Apple Music songs on Instagram Stories. All a user needs to do is tap the share button on a song and it will create a story with the song title, album name and animated background. But it appears that there is still a glitch since there is no way to get to Apple Music from the shared info on the story. If not on the first beta, there could be some improvements abound in the second beta currently with developers.

Folks who want to check out the iOS and iPadOS 13.4.5 beta can do so by heading here. Users need to enroll their device first to be able to get the beta builds. For folks who are not adept at this, it may be best to hold off or at least make sure that your device is properly backed up.

It also remains to be seen if this will be one of the last minor updates for iOS 13. In another post, the things to expect for iOS 14 were detailed. That included home screen improvements such as widgets and better organization. Wallpapers will remain and device owners will get more customization options in handling them. iOS 14 is likely to come out during the WWDC 2020 event in June which will be presented online.
