Many jailbreak iDevices users are interested in this tweet. One asked him, I read about hacking baseband since a few hours.. Is that a solution for 3GS's who lost the GPS signal with iPad baseband?? Thx. Another fan replied, Theres a fix in cydia for the GPS loss on a 3GS with iPad Baseband, and suggested Theres a fix in cydia for the GPS loss on a 3GS with iPad Baseband. MuscleNerd did not respond.

Early this week, iPhone Dev-team released redsn0w 0.9.9b9. Redsn0w 0.9.9b9 is a semi-tethered jailbreak, but it is also the untethered for 3GS old bootrom users. Muscle Nerd updated it to redsn0w 0.9.9b9d to help 3GS users after receiving many comments which point out a problem with the untethered jailbreak available for the old-bootrom 3G.

One user posted: Please help! 3gs running 4.0 already jalbroken. Created a custom ipsw with redsn0w (from iPhone2,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore to NO_BB_OLDROM_iPhone2,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore), tried to update to 5.0.1 in itunes and got error 1600, can´t go back in redsn0w, asks for iphone2,1_5.0.1_9A404, don´t know what to do, can anybody help? According to reports, ultrasn0w 1.2.5 is available on Cydia. iDevices users require a jailbroken device to utilize ultrasn0w 1.2.5.

According to iDwonload Blog, users need an unlockable baseband to utilize ultrasn0w. If the iDevices owners meet all the requirements, they will be able to unlock their iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS running iOS 5.0.1.

This new version of ultrasn0w dose not support iPhone 4S and table, but rumors said ultrasn0w could support iPhone 4S in the future.

Now, MuscleNerd and his team are working on for iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak for all the iDevices. And his competitor, the French hacker and his team Chronic are also making efforts on the untethered jailbreak for Apple's latest operation system. Both of them have not delivered the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 users.
