Every year Black Friday brings many limited time offers and so called door-buster deals to shoppers around the U.S., but this year, the best deal is the $100 iPhone 4. Once the iPhone 4S came out, the iPhone 4 price dropped to $100 and it might be the best smartphone deal out there. There are other smartphones out there for $100, and one of them is the HTC Evo 4G from Sprint. iPhone 4 is on Sprint, AT&T and Verizon, but we'll just compare these two devices for now.

iPhone 4 is thinner, has a better camera than Evo 4G, a better battery and a faster processor. Evo 4G has more on board storage than the eight gigabyte iPhone 4 and a bigger screen. Evo 4G's 4.3-inch screen does not equal the resolution on the iPhone's 3.5-inch screen, however. Their respective resolutions are close, but on paper, the iPhone is better.

Of course, there are other phones out there that are good bargains for even less than $100, but for those deals, you'll be falling off quite a ways from iPhone 4. That's why we're comparing it to the Evo 4G, they are the same price, are offered from the same carrier and both have the newest versions of their respective operating systems.

If you were to check out other devices that were in the $50 range, they're more likely to run an older version of the Android system. Not that they can't be upgraded, but that's a whole other story. iPhone 4, at least on Sprint, would also be able to access unlimited data. Other carriers only allow data in chunks, with overage fees for when you go over the limit.

Lastly, the Evo 4G would be a worthy challenger to the iPhone if indeed it were going to get the new Android 4.0 update when it comes out. HTC has confirmed that several other of it's devices will be getting the update, but no official word has been given about the Evo 4G. Tell us in the comments if you think iPhone 4 is a great deal or if it's better to spring for an extra hundred on the iPhone 4S.
