Malcolm Goodwin as Clive
Clive’s (Malcolm Goodwin) patience is tested when Liv (Rose McIver) eats the brain of a gossip in Season 3, episode 4 of “iZombie.” The CW

An ultimate office gossip is murdered in Season 3, episode 4 of “iZombie,” and to help Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) solve the case, Liv (Rose McIver) consumes the victim’s brain. But instead of being an aid to the investigation, it seems that Liv will only be giving Clive unnecessary distractions.

According to the synopsis for next week’s episode, Clive’s patience is tested when Liv starts manifesting the busybody behavior of the victim named Cheryl (Fiona Hogan).

As seen in the trailer for the episode, Liv begins dishing dirt about their co-workers at the Seattle Police Department. She also does the same at the morgue, much to Ravi’s (Rahul Kohli) annoyance.

Meanwhile, Blaine (David Anders) and Peyton (Aly Michalka) continue to grow closer as they wait to see if the cure Ravi gave Blaine in Season 3, episode 3 is able to reverse the latter’s memory loss.

The synopsis for episode 4 also states that Major (Robert Buckley) is one step away from fulfilling a promise. While the episode summary doesn’t specify what that promise is, it’s most likely the promise Major made to suicidal zombie escort, Natalie (Brooke Lyons), back in Season 2, episode 9.

In the said episode, Major promised Natalie that he will kill her if the zombie cure doesn’t work. But since Major discovered in Season 2 finale that Natalie went missing in the Max Rager vaults where the rest of the Chaos Killer victims were locked up, Major has begun a search mission for her.

In Season 3, episode 3, Major got the name and the address of one of Natalie’s old clients from Blaine. Major suspects that this yet-to-be named man is holding Natalie against her will. Will Major’s only lead reunite him with Natalie? Only time will tell.

“iZombie” Season 3, episode 4, titled “Wag the Tongue Slowly,” airs on Tuesday, April 25 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
