Now that pop superstar Britney Spears has been confirmed to appear as a special guest star in Season 2 of the hit comedy series “Jane The Virgin,” lead actress Gina Rodriguez is speaking out about her dream scenario. The Golden Globe best actress said that she wants to recreate Spears’ music video on set.

In an interview with People, the Latina actress, who played lead character Jane Villanueva, gushed over the singer. She said that for Spears' guesting, she has one particular scenario in mind. "I just want to do the dance from 'Baby One More Time' with her on set ... and record it. I want to do that so badly!" she said.

Rodriguez said that Spears is the first ever pop star that she heard of while she was growing up. She reportedly could not be happier that the singer will be taking on a guest role in the upcoming season of “Jane The Virgin” as Rogelio de la Vega’s nemesis. Rogelio (Jamie Camil) is Jane’s father in the series and he plays an egotistical soap opera star.

Rogelio takes his rivalries very seriously and the appearance of Spears’ character will surely bring a lot of conflict and a lot of laughs. The CW announced that the pop star has agreed to join the cast in a statement made by showrunner Jennie Urman last week. She is described as Rogelio’s enemy but Urman also hinted that the two feuding characters have very different views of the conflict.

Spears is reportedly a big fan of the series, which made waves in its debut season last fall. The series earned Rodriguez a Golden Globe best actress award this year. She also recently hosted the Teen Choice Awards.

Season 2 of “Jane the Virgin” is currently in production, and is scheduled to premiere on Monday, Oct. 12, at 9:00 pm EDT on The CW.
