Bridget Regan’s character from “Jane the Virgin” is the least motherly person imaginable, but in real life, the actress is ready to take on motherhood for the second time around.

Regan announced her second pregnancy on Instagram. In the post, Regan was wearing a form-fitting black dress and she was cradling her baby bump.

Regan and husband, Eamon O’Sullivan, already have one child - daughter Frankie Jean, according to PEOPLE. Megan announced her birth on Twitter back in December 2010.

It’s difficult juggling a busy acting career with motherhood, but Regan said she makes things work because she’s really passionate about acting.

“I’m fortunate that I get to do what I love and love what I do, and when I’m not working, I do feel like there’s something missing,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

In “Jane the Virgin,” Regan plays the crime lord Sin Rostro. The actress said she likes to take on unexpected roles, and Sin Rostro definitely fits the bill, given her penchant for murder and revenge.

“You always bring yourself to the role. We’re human and therefore, I believe, we’re capable of everything. Therefore, I believe everything is inside all of us,” she said. “If you’re playing a vicious murderer, you have to go there and find that part of yourself that relates. That’s our job as actors, to empathize with every character you play, even if they’re villains, even if what they’re doing is unattractive or unappealing. I’ve been fortunate to have [played] some really lovable [and not so] lovable characters.”

Just recently, one of the characters from the show was killed. Anezka (Yael Grobglas), the twin sister of Petra Solano (Grobglas) was last seen hanging from a noose inside the hotel, but the Narrator teased that she did not commit suicide.

So who killed her? Chances are, Sin Rostro ordered her murder from jail. But for what reason? It could also be the handiwork of her mother, Magda (Priscilla Barnes), or maybe even Petra herself.

During an interview with Variety, show creator Jennie Snyder Urman said Petra is a “survivor” who would do anything to protect her interest in the hotel.

“Petra’s always had to do things to survive, and Petra’s line is different,” she said. “Petra feels that she can think her way out of everything. Life is hard, but she can come out on top.”

“Jane the Virgin” Season 4 airs every Friday on The CW at 9 p.m. EDT.
