Entrepreneurs Jay-Z and Ludacris recently released commercials for their separate cognac brands -- D'USSE and Conjure.

Following the path of P.Diddy, who launched his own vodka brand, both Jay-Z and Ludacris have launched their very own cognac drink. Jay-Z is helping to launch D’USSE, the latest addition to the Bacardi brand.

In a brand new silent commercial for D’USSE, Jay-Z is shown in a luxury apartment and smokes a cigar while looking at the NYC skyline.

Meanwhile, Ludacris' commercial for Conjure, shows more of a lounge setting, as Ludacris is surrounded by beautiful women while drinking the cognac. Singer D.Woods, formerly of P.Diddy’s group Danity Kane, is featured as a performer in the 45-second clip.

Actor Larenz Tate, most noted for his starring roles in "Love Jones," "Ray," and "Crash," among others, took a role as a director for Ludacris’ commercial.

“It was a pleasure working with my good friend Chris Bridges on the Conjure commercial. It feels good to work alongside people you respect. I hope my vision as a director gives the world a glimpse of the new level that Chris is taking his cognac brand. Cheers!” Tate told Rap-Up.com.

Meanwhile, aside from launching his own cognac drink, Jay-Z also has been an avid supporter of President Barack Obama, and is featured in a new video released by the Obama campaign.

"When the president got into office initially, what he represented to a nation of kids was hope.

"You know, the hope of people all across the country, who would look and see themselves, and the possibilities,” Jay-Z says in the "Power of Our Voice" advertisement.

“For so long, there was this voice that was silenced out there as far as exercising your right to vote.

I think it was a voice that was silent because people had lost hope. They didn’t believe that their voice mattered or counted,” Jay-Z goes on to say.
