“Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans has come a long way. The former troubled teenage mother, who now is a mother to two children, famously battled with her mother, Barbara, on the hit MTV show. Now, after her second son Kaiser was born, the reality star has actually said something nice about her mom: Babs is her biggest inspiration.

During a Twitter question and answer on Thursday, a follower asked the 23-year-old who her biggest inspiration was, and Evans responded: “This def is my mom!” The North Carolina native added: “She has been there for [me] through the ROUGHEST parts in my life and still loved me for me.”

In the past, MTV cameras caught Barbara and her daughter in some heated shouting matches and intense arguments. Things haven’t been easy for the “TM2” star. She is battling a drug addiction, been married and divorce, had an abortion, spent time in jail and even had emergency surgery to remove an appendix.

Evans told her followers her main goal is to stay sober and out of trouble, but it still looks like she might not get custody of her son Jace any time soon. She handed over guardianship to her mother when she realized she couldn’t give her oldest son what he needs, but the plan was to regain custody once the second baby came. The problem here is that he lives in North Carolina and she moved to South Carolina with her live-in boyfriend Nathan Griffith so he could be close to his family.

Evans tweeted the father of her second son would not let her moved to be closer to Jace when asked about her hometown. Followers harped on the reality star, and asked why it was OK for a grown man to be near his parents but not a 4-year-old child.
