Jennifer Lopez is reportedly heading to Brazil after all. Lopez's rep confirmed late Sunday night that the singer would not be at the World Cup opening ceremony. The 44-year-old received so much backlash for backing out, that she has decided to perform.

The international superstar is expected to sing the 2014 World Cup official song, “We Are One (Ola Ola)," alongside rapper Pitbull and Claudia Leitte, a Brazilian artist. “The backlash was so significant that she decided that she needed to attend,” a source inside the World Cup organizing committee told RadarOnline. It was speculated that her canceling was due to damaging reports about her now ex-boyfriend, Casper Smart.

In the past few weeks, two transgender models have come forward claiming they shared intimate moments with Smart. He denied the claims, telling Us Weekly, "There is no truth to any meeting or physical encounter. I am weighing my options on the appropriate action to take against Xristina Marie and/or 'The Sun.'" The Sun published a story claiming a model named Xristina Marie hooked up with the dancer before his split with Lopez was made public. A second woman, Sofie Vissa, 23, also accused Smart of exchanging sexy photos and intimate text messages with her.

But Radar claims the real issue was travel expenses. “She had wanted them to cover everything for her, from private transportation, to her hotel and the costs associated for her entire entourage,” the source said. But her record label told her to go to Brazil, especially since she her album "A.K.A." is set for release on June 17.

“It’s the world stage … It would have been foolish for her not to exploit the World Cup for the publicity factor alone,” added the insider.
