Jessie J has denied being a lesbian after allegations arose from author Chloe Govan claiming the English singer claimed she was bisexual because it was trendy, exotic, and a fashion statement.

In an unauthorized biography entitled 'Jessie J: Who's Laughing Now, Govan states that Jessie J was told by record honchos to keep the fact she was a lesbian under wraps.

Jessie might have been with boys in the past -- but she is 100 per cent gay. Jessie was openly lesbian and didn't hide it,' said Govan to The Sun.

She was advised not to come out, though. Certain people thought being bi was trendy, exotic and a fashion statement. It would increase her allure she said in the exclusive interview.

Record bosses feared Jessie J's sexuality would alienate some of her audience. They feared she would suffer a career-damaging backlash because there are so many homophobes, said Govan.

Govan said Jessie J was incensed at the compromise.

Jessie J said in a recent interview that if she meet someone and liked them she would not care if they were a boy or a girl. She has admitted to having a crush on Rihanna.

Jessie J took to Twitter Thursday to deny the lesbian rumors.

Its funny how many people I've dated slept with that I've never even met according to the tabloids, she wrote on her official Twitter page.

BUT what's that?! *whispers because its a secret* I'm really a lesbian?! Ha! Thanks for writing yet another boring untrue story. I thought I was still dating Tinie, NO Ellie G, NO Mark Wright....bla bla bla! she continued, using the hash tags #cantkeepup and #noneofitstrue.

The unauthorized biography also delves into Jessie J's health issues. The songstress has Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a condition that speeds up one's heart rate four times faster than it should be.

She also suffered a stroke when she was 18.

My health is a very important part of my life & I don't take lightly to the media making a joke about it, wrote Jessie J on her Twitter. I have made huge sacrifices to making sure my body and mind can deal with my life & I am happy, I am healthy & I am trying to make the UK proud.
