Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo get a little touchy-feely in the Season 2 trailer for TLC’s “Counting On” — and that’s totally against the rules, that is, if she’s following the same guidelines her siblings did in their courtships.
According to a press release from the network, fans will get to watch the courtship of the uber conservative couple, who recently announced their engagement, unfold as their love for one another is documented on the reality series. But audiences are already getting a sneak peek of the relationship in what some would say is a scandalous promo video for the Duggar clan.
In the trailer, the duo embraces one another with a forward facing hug. The hug, which can be seen at the 18 second mark in the video, is an enormous no-no for the Duggar family, seeing as though it goes against their strict dating guidelines. However, it is worth noting that the Duggars have yet to reveal if Jinger and Jeremy decided to follow the side-hug only until marriage rule.
Jinger and Jeremy aren’t the first twosome to break Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s suggested courtship guidelines. As reported by the Duggar Family Blog, Jessa Seewald dished that she and her husband Ben Seewald would talk without a third party monitoring them prior to their engagement.
“The day Ben and I started courting, we began our tradition on calling each other on the phone every night. These were such special times,” she wrote, adding that the calls weren’t chaperoned. “They were private just between the two of us.”
Jessa and Ben continued to bend the family’s premarital rules by holding hands (while the family engaged in prayer at a restaurant) and even sharing a full frontal hug on the day of their engagement. And it looks like Jinger is following in the rebellious footsteps of her sister!
Fans can catch “Counting On” Season 2 on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
