John Galliano, Michael Kors, Vera Wang Ranked as 2011's Most 'Buzzed’ Designers

A recent analytical report by digital marketing organization Zeta Interactive Corp has mentioned that couture designers like John Galliano, Michael Kors, Vera Wang and Jason Wu are among the most buzzed designers of the year 2011.

The Fashion Buzz Report released by the company has conducted a complete analytical research on around 50 top designers across the globe and has presented the report based on these results.

Details about the designers are mainly obtained with the help of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Apart from this, the company also reportedly used an algorithm that analyzes language to judge whether the chatter is favorable or unfavorable.

According to the Wall Street Journal, ex-Dior designer Galliano secured the fourth spot despite his arrest and subsequent conviction for making anti-Semitic slurs in a Paris bar during February. Although the designer's positive buzz came down from 92 percent in January to 64 percent in March, it climbed again in the succeeding months.

Apart from this, coming at the top spot is American fashion designer Michael Kors, known for designing classic American sportswear for women. The second and third spots were awarded to Chinese-American fashion designer Vera Wang and Christian Siriano, respectively.

The list also includes names like Sarah Burton, Tommy Hilfiger, Jason Wu and Calvin Klein.
