Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes were spotted attending church together Wednesday night. The singers visited Churchome in Beverly Hills, California, and Bieber was seen driving the car as they left the church.

In a video shared by a Twitter user, Bieber, 28, and Mendes, 24, were seen stepping out of the church and sitting inside a car. Bieber donned a grey hoodie and matching pants while he completed his look with a pink beanie cap, while Mendes wore a cream sweater.

In a second clip tweeted by another user, Mendes and Bieber were standing inside the church while gospel music was being played.

A third video shows both the singers listening to the sermon and Bieber with his head down, placing his hand on Mendes' shoulder. A fan captioned the video, "@justinbieber laying his hand on @shawnmendes shoulder in prayer is the most beautiful thing ever. True friend."

Considering Bieber and Mendes' friendship, it did start on a rough patch. During an interview in 2015, Bieber asked, "Who is Shawn Mendes?" when the young Canadian was still an upcoming singer.

When asked about this in an interview with BBC Radio 1 later the same year, Mendes responded, "We haven't met, but I guess he just doesn't know [me]. I'm definitely a fan, I looked up to him for a while, but I guess he just doesn't know who I am. We'll have to let him know."

A few weeks after that interview, during American Music Awards in November, the two singers reportedly met in person and have been friends ever since.

At the time, Bieber's now-wife Hailey Bieber was rumored to be dating Mendes. However, the rumors were shut down after she got engaged to Bieber in 2018; the couple exchanged vows in the same year.

On the work front, Bieber was last seen in the music video, "Honest," which was dropped in April. He will next lend his voice to an animated movie, titled "Cupid," which is currently under pre-production.

Mendes, on the other hand, will be next seen in a musical comedy movie, "Summer of Love," which is penned by Len Blum, Ivan Reitman and Lorene Scafaria.
