Justin Timberlake has released his first single in six years, "Suit & Tie," featuring rapper Jay-Z.

The 5 1/2-minute song has an old-school vibe. It is Timberlake's first single since the singer released his second studio album in 2006 called "FutureSex/Love Sounds."

Timberlake confirmed on Thursday that he is getting ready to release a new album as early as this year called 'The 20/20 Experience." It would be his third studio album in 10 years.

In a new video posted on his official website, Timberlake addressed why he has only put out two solo albums in the last 10 years -- "Justified" in 2002, which won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album, and "FutureSex/LoveSounds" in 2006. That album received several Grammy Award nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

He has said that he is not in a rush to come out with music if it not his best possible work.

"I don't want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don't love. You just don't get that every day. You have to wait for it," Timberlake said in the video clip.

Beyoncé will collaborate with Timberlake on her upcoming album. "I've been working with Pharrell and Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and Dream," she said in the February issue of GQ magazine.

"We all started in the '90s, when R&B was the most important genre, and we all kind of want that back: the feeling that music gave us."

Based on Beyoncé’s confirmation, it was thought that Timberlake’s latest single, "Suit & Tie" would include both her and Jay-Z.

Last month, rumors circulated that Beyoncé would be working with Timberlake after a source told PerezHilton that the three were seen together in a New York recording studio.

This will not be the first time Timberlake and Beyoncé have worked together. In 2007, the pop stars worked on the single "Until the End of Time," which was featured on his second studio album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds."

For Beyoncé, this new music will be the first since the birth last year of her baby girl, Blue Ivy, and her last studio album, "4."
