Several companies are vying the 54-year-old anchor for her services. She became the first female solo anchor of a weekday network evening news broadcast in 2006.
A departure date has not been set for Couric.
We're having onging discussions with Kait Couric, said CBS News spokeswoman Sonya McNair in a statement. We have no announcements to make this time. Until we do, we will continue to decline comment on rumor or speculation, the statement said.
