Katy Perry recently chopped her hair into a pixie cut with the help of celebrity stylist Chris McMillan.

The “Roar” singer shared her new look via a short video on Instagram. She also revealed that the sides of her hair have been shaved off for that fresher look. This is not the first time that Perry made waves with her bold hairstyle choices. Since her split from Orlando Bloom, the award-winning singer has dyed her signature dark brown hair platinum blonde. Her most recent hairstyle change came just around the same time that actor Ryan Phillippe denied the rumors that he’s dating the “It Takes Two” singer.

On his Twitter account, Phillippe said that he barely knows Perry. He also urged the paparazzi to stop flying helicopters over his house to check if the latter is there. Perry replied to the actor by jokingly asking him to let her out of his basement. She also apologized to “Cruel Intentions” star for being dragged into the false reports.

At present, Perry is very much single and it is unclear whether or not she will be open to dating someone of the same sex. While at the National Equality Award at the Human Rights Campaign Gala in Los Angeles, the singer admitted to having bisexual experiences when she was younger.

“I’m just a singer and songwriter, honestly. I speak my truths and I paint my fantasies into these little bite-size pop songs. For instance, ‘I kissed a girl and I liked it.’ Truth be told, I did more than that. Honestly, I haven’t always gotten it right but in 2008 when that song came out I knew that I started a conversation and a lot of the world seemed curious enough to sing along, too,” she said.
